Elements is a natural soap which is hand made using an ancient technique. It contains high quality organic oils and butters to nourish your skin, activated charcoal, kaolin clay and pure essential oils.

I have combined a blend of essential oils which focusses on providing an antibacterial and antiviral action, whilst smelling and fresh and clean.

Essential oils include:

Rosemary, Orange, Rose Geranium, Eucalyptus and Peppermint.

Active ingredients which I add to protect your skin through the elements of nature.

Coconut oil - Creates a rich lather, helps prevent dryness by forming a protective barrier, and can soothe irritation and redness associated with conditions like eczema. Additionally, its antioxidants help protect against environmental stressors.

Shea butter - Provides intense hydration and protects the skins moisture barrier. It is also known for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which can soothe irritation, calm sensitive skin, and protect against environmental damage.

Olive oil - Moisturises and nourishes the skin with vitamins and antioxidants, which can protect against free radicals. It also soothes irritation and encourages radiant skin.

Charcoal - Provides a very gentle exfoliation which encourages cell regeneration. It also has deeply detoxifying properties to help remove impurities from the skin by a process called adsorption.

Kaolin clay - Also provides a gentle exfoliation and cleanses the skin from impurities.

create this natural soap using a 'superfat' recipe to make it extra moisturising for your skin. This means that the soap contains extra oils and butters which have not been saponified so that they leave a moisturising barrier on your skin.

Each bar of soap takes approximately six weeks to make, using the ancient cold process method. Oils are saponified with a lye solution, the additional ingredients and essential oils are combined before the soap is poured, cut and left to cure. I do this myself in my home kitchen and it's incredibly satisfying!

It took me around 16 months of experimenting with the technique and trying different formulas before settling on the perfect recipe for my first bar of handmade soap. Enjoy!
